During this point in combat, they are not considered dead, but they will be if you do not do anything about it. If a member of your squad's CON reaches 0, they will fall to the ground with a lifeline icon above them. You can check how much health a friendly character has out of combat by targeting them (but not attacking), and then select a Medic Pack and targeting the friendly character. Remember that you can also use many of these items on "Friendly" characters that you may not be able to order around on your own - and can include things like animals. This will not only bring them to full health, but will also cure any injuries or diseases they may have. Doctors - Some towns, as well as your Ranger HQ when you find someone to help, can house a doctor that can take a look at your team and heal the whole squad up to full in a moment's notice. This is especially important after a battle ends, as your bleeding characters will continue to suffer bleed damage in real time until you quickly cure it. While it does not grant health back, it will stop a target from bleeding. Suture Kit - This kit, like the Medic Pack, requires someone with at least 1 point in First Aid to use.Still, they are useful to regain a bit of health, or gain a bonus if it happens to be a particularly good meal. They often cost less AP to use in combat, but also give back less of your CON than a Med Hypo. Snacks - These healing items come in all shapes and forms, from pickles to hot dogs or chips. If using on others, you must first equip it it on your item belt, select it, and target the person you want to heal over time (or over 3 turns). Medic Pack - These first aid boxes can only be used by a character who has at least 1 point in First Aid, but that character can either use it on themselves or on friendly characters or members of your squad.Simply equip it to your item belt (the total quantity will be shared across all characters), and then use it in battle, or right click on it in your inventory to use on self. Unlike other healing items, all characters can use Med Hypos, regardless of their First Aid Skill (although having higher First Aid Skill will increase the effectiveness of the healing item). They restore an instant amount of health. Med Hypos - These red healing items are found all over the place, especially in red medical boxes. If a character cannot use it on themselves, another character with a high enough First Aid Kit must put it on their item belt first, select it, and then select the character you want to use it on. To use a healing item, you can either select the belt icon with a character and click on it (which may cost AP in battle), or enter your inventory and left click a healing item to use it. They can also be used both in combat, or out of combat - depending on the situation. Certain healing items can only be used by those with a First Aid Skill, but can be used on themselves or other characters. This can be done in several ways, depending on the resources you have available. When your characters take damage in Wasteland 3, it will lower their total constitution (CON), and they will need to heal to get back to fighting shape.
